Fitting angle bracket with Hyland-DO35
The angled bracket with the two small holes and a large slot needs to be set
right back as far as the slot will allow on the tongue.
DO35 or 50mm towball
As there are many manufacturers of towbar tongues, the length of the flat section can
vary. To test for clearance we recommend fitting the angle bracket (without the bar
with the canvas flaps at this stage) to the tongue with the ball-DO35 pin in place.
Then by hand, holding the tongue, couple the tow ball-pin with the angled bracket fitted
in position to the ball-DO35 hitch.
Holding the end of the tongue, rotate from left to right making sure the Hyland-DO35
coupling clears the bracket. If theHyland-DO35 Hitch touches the angled bracket you
may need to obtain a tongue with a longer flat section to allow clearance. Any tow bar
place can supply these.
