HANDLING MACHINES EQUIPPED WITH KOMTRAX Plus
q KOMTRAX Plus is a machine management system. When a communications terminal is installed, it is possi-
ble to transmit data.
q A contract is necessary before the KOMTRAX Plus communications terminal can be used. Any customers
desiring to use the KOMTRAX Plus system should consult their Komatsu distributor.
KOMTRAX Plus INSTALLED, COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL NOT INSTALLED
BASIC PRECAUTIONS
q Never disassemble, repair, modify, or move the KOMTRAX Plus or cables. This may cause failure or
fire on the KOMTRAX Plus equipment or the machine itself. (Your Komatsu distributor will carry out
removal and installation of KOMTRAX Plus.)
q Do not allow cables or cords to become caught; do not damage or pull cables or cords by force. Short
circuits or disconnected wires may cause failure or fire on the KOMTRAX Plus equipment or the
machine itself.
REMARK
There is absolutely no need to inspect or operate the KOMTRAX Plus, but if any abnormality is found, please con-
tact your Komatsu distributor.
KOMTRAX Plus AND COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL INSTALLED
q The KOMTRAX Plus communications terminal is a wireless device using radio waves, so it is necessary to
obtain authorization and conform to the laws of the country or territory where the machine equipped with the
KOMTRAX Plus communications terminal is being used. Always contact your Komatsu distributor before sell-
ing or exporting any machine equipped with the KOMTRAX Plus communications terminal.
q When selling or exporting the machine or at other times when your Komatsu distributor considers it necessary,
it may be necessary for your Komatsu distributor to remove the KOMTRAX Plus communications terminal or
to carry out action to stop communications.
q If you do not obey the above precautions, neither Komatsu nor your Komatsu distributor can take any respon-
sibility for any problem that is caused or for any loss that results.
