Introduction FRM220-TM-10GMux is a 7 x 1GE to 10G Muxponder that can transport seven separate Gigabit Ethernet data streams into a 10Gbps SFP+ Based trunk port using TDM technology. The 7 x 1GE interfaces use SFP-based access that can accommodate various types of SFP, such as Multi-mode, Single mode and 1Gbps copper SFPs. -

The installation of the FRM220-TM-10GMux card is very straight forward. Once the chassis has been mounted into a 2RU rack space, the FRM220-TM-10GMux cards can be inserted in any order and in any slot of the chassis. To install the chassis card, align the card with the slot in the chassis. -

Installation SFP or SFP+ modules supplied by CTC Union are of the Bale Clasp type. The bale clasp pluggable module has a bale clasp that secures the module into the SFP or SFP+ cage. -

Appendix 1. Firmware Upgrading via NMC Card Local Device The FRM220-TM-10GMux card may be firmware upgraded when it is placed in the FRM220 with NMC management card.
