- Page 2 These are installation instructions for the GeckoTek Magnetic Base for the Ultimaker 2, 2+, Extended and Ultimaker 3. When you are finished, you will be able to use GeckoTek Build Plates without the need for clips or tape. The install was demonstrated on a Z stage that was removed from the 3D printer.
- Page 3 Step 4: The front two glass retaining clips will come off with the leveling screws. Using the allen wrench and pliers, remove the screws holding the back two clips on. Set the screws and nuts aside for later. Step 5: Attach the Magnetic Base to the stock bed heater using the included M2.5 Screws.
- Page 4 Step 6: Attach the Magnetic Base with heater attached to the Z- carriage with the 3 leveling screws. Tighten finger tight with the thumb nuts and Phillips screwdriver. Step 7: Attach the GeckoTek Build Plate to the Magnetic Base and center it.
