POLARIZED LIGHT SYSTEM MODEL Pol 3
(for the stands slit equipped model only)
Equipment: Slide analyzer filter and polarizer filter.
Installation: Insert the slide analyzer filter in the special slit located above the nosepiece
revolver (15 - ref. fig. 1).
Now place the polarizer filter on the collector filter housing (21 - ref. fig. 1 and fig. 9a) and
increase the light intensity.
Rotate the polarizer filter until you view the greatest darkness in the viewing field and then
commence observation of the specimen.
DRY AND OIL DARK- FIELD
CONDENSERS
Installation:
Loosen the locking screw (18 - ref. fig. 1).
Replace the bright-field condenser (8 - ref. fig. 1)
with the dark-field version.
Retighten the locking screw (18 - ref. fig. 1).
It is important, before using the oil immersion
model, to put a drop of immersion oil between
the frontal lens of the condenser and the
specimen slide.
PLS. NOTE: Can be used up to a maximum
magnification of 400x.
POLARIZED LIGHT SYSTEM MODEL
Pol 2
Equipment: Analyzer and polarizer filters.
Installation: Referring to figure 1, having removed
the eyepieces (13), dismount the head (2) after
loosening the locking screw (3). In the base of
the head you will find the tube lens (9a-1 - ref.fig.9)
which has to be unscrewed anti-clockwise.

Having removed the lens, insert the analyzer filter
and retighten the tube lens (9a-1 - ref. fig. 9).
Now place the polarizer filter on the collector
filter housing (21 - ref. fig. 1 and fig. 9a) and increase
the light intensity.
Rotate the polarizer filter until you view the
greatest darkness in the viewing field and then
commence observation of the specimen.
