IFP2200 MT devices have been tested for high-energy single pulses (surge) in accordance with IEC 61000-4-5.
An external protective circuit is required for operation with 24 V DC; see function manual "SIMATIC S7-1500, ET 200MP,
ET 200SP, ET 200AL Designing interference-free controllers", section 7 "Lightning protection and overvoltage protection",
