TROUBLE SHOOTING

The following table is intended to show the possible sources of errors and their rectification
Problem/Display
LED's do not light up
Valves do not switch over
Temperature controller out of

Possible Cause
No mains power
Sub-D-plug not inserted in

F1/2 fuses defective

Internal circuit;
No solder link 1-6 in sub-D-
plug
External circuit;
Error in external controller

Gas sample lines
blocked or leaking
Cartridge used up
Cartridge does not heat up

Check/Rectification
Mains 'ON'
OK.
Check that mains cable fits properly
(X1);
OK.
Check whether sub-D-plug is present
and is properly plugged in;
OK.
Check whether bridge in sub-D-plug ex-
ists (s. Fig. 6);
OK.
Check fuses and replace if necessary;
Measure voltage at terminals X4/2 and
3;
OK.
Replace heater;
Not OK.
Measure voltage at terminal X4/6 and
7;
Voltage < 8 V DC?
Check controller according to operating
instructions;
Voltage > 8 V DC?
Replace solid-state relay;
Change sensor;

Check sub-D-plug and if necessary sol-
der link;
Check external controller;
Check that valves function
