10. Install airfoils
WARNING: Disconnect power to the fan before installing the airfoils!
A. Attach winglets to airfoils
Attach a winglet to each airfoil with the Winglet Hardware.
Both a Phillips head and flat head screwdriver are required to
properly secure the hardware. Secure winglets to all airfoils
before attaching the airfoils to the fan.
Winglet Hardware:
a. (6) 10-24 x 3/4" Barrel
b. (6) 10-24 x 1/2" Bolt

B. Secure airfoils to hub
Moving clockwise around the fan hub:
1.
Slide airfoils onto tabs of the fan hub with the curved sides facing downward.
2. Position airfoil retainers end-over-end as shown, and loosely secure them with the Airfoil Hardware. Hole A
of the retainer should be positioned over top of Hole B. Do not fully tighten the bolts until all airfoil retainers
have been attached.
3. Repeat for the remaining airfoils.
After all retainers are positioned, fully tighten the bolts along the outer perimeter to 29 ft·lb (39.3 N·m) using a
torque wrench and 1/2" (13 mm) socket. After the outer perimeter bolts are torqued, tighten the bolts along the
inner perimeter to 29 ft·lb (39.3 N·m) using a torque wrench and 1/2" (13 mm) socket.
Airfoil Hardware:
a. (12) 5/16-18 x 2'' GR 8 Bolt
b. (24) 5/16" Flat Washer
c. (12) 5/16-18 Nylock Nut
