CAUTION
Compressed air can damage the air
cleaner element.
Do not blow the air cleaner element with
compressed air.
NOTE: If driving under dusty conditions,
replace the air cleaner element more fre-
quently. The surest way to accelerate engine
wear is to operate the engine without the
element or to use a torn element. Make sure
that the air cleaner is in good condition at all
times. The life of the engine depends largely
on this component.
5. Reinstall the new air cleaner element in
reverse order of removal. Be absolutely
sure that the element is securely in posi-
tion and is sealing properly.
NOTICE
A torn air cleaner element will allow dirt
to enter the engine and can damage the
engine.
Replace the air cleaner element with a
new one if it is torn. Carefully examine
the air cleaner element for tears during
cleaning.
