Setting the Drive Sleep Timer

The drive sleep timer turns off the power to your drive after a certain period of inactivity to
conserve power and minimize long-term wear on the drive.
1. To run WD Drive Utilities:
▪ If you have WD Discovery installed and open, you can run WD Drive Utilities
by going to the Apps tab, finding the application and clicking
▪ Otherwise, you can run an application from the Windows Start menu by
clicking
Start > All Programs > WD Discovery > More WD Apps > WD Drive Utilities

Start > All Programs > WD Apps > WD Drive Utilities
