When the signals are in synchronization, the oscilloscope shows the following
waveforms.
When there is a phase difference, the waveforms are as shown in the graphic
below.
When the frequencies are different, the signals move respective to each other. If
the "speed" is low enough, the board may generate a SYNC pulse.
