basin. Use a sponge to remove any limescale
residues in the basin. Rinse the basin (8) at
least twice, pouring each time in the basin
approximately 300 ml of cold drinking tap
water.
7. Use a soft and clean cloth to dry carefully
the internal part of the tank (6) and the in-
ternal part of the basin (8). Use a soft and
clean cloth to dry carefully the lid with re-
movable essence holder (1), the removable
essence holder (4), the water level sensor
(14) and its magnetic ring.
8. Insert the magnetic ring into the water
level sensor (14) and reassemble the level
sensor on the tank (6) rotating it carefully
clockwise until reaching the stop.
WARNING! Always make sure that the mag-
netic ring has been inserted correctly into the
level sensor, otherwise the humidifier will not
work!
9. insert the removable essence holder (4)
into the lid (1) making sure that it is mount-
ed to the special supports provided (3) as
shown in Fig. H.
10. Clean the outer surfaces of the device
with a soft damp cloth using water. Do
not use abrasive products, detergents,
alcohol, solvents or similar products as
they may cause permanent damages to
the surfaces.
11. In order to use the device again, repeat
the procedure from step 5 to step 8
shown in paragraph PRELIMINARY
OPERATIONS and repeat the procedure
shown in paragraph STANDBY / TURN-
ING THE DEVICE ON.
12. WARNING! If you intend not to use the
humidifier after having cleaned it, store
the device and all its components in a
clean and dry place, protected against
dust, direct sun light and heat sources,
making sure not to screw the tank plug
(15) too tightly on the water tank (6).
WEEKLY CLEANING
During normal use of the device, the salts
contained in the water could lead to the for-
mation of scale residue in the basin (8), on
the piezoelectric transducer (9), on the water
level sensor (14), on the magnetic ring, and in
the water tank (6). The formation of limescale
salts can occur quickly or slowly, according to
the characteristics of the water delivered in
the area, and in particular it depends on the
water hardness and on the frequency of use
of the device. The harder is the water, and the
faster is the formation of salt deposits.
• Limescale residues may reduce the device
performance until blocking it, increasing its
noise and compromising the normal oper-
ation. Besides daily cleaning of the entire
device, water replacement and thorough
cleaning of the tank every three days, in
order to preserve the optimum conditions,
the device shall be carefully cleaned weekly
as follows:
1. Repeat the operations shown in paragraph
DAILY CLEANING.
2. Pour in the water tank (6) one litre of solu-
tion of 50% water and 50% white wine
vinegar.
3. Screw the plug (15) on the water tank (6)
and shake the tank for approximately 10
seconds.
4. Insert the water tank (6) onto the base (7)
as shown in Fig. E. Leave the solution in
place for at least 4 hours (even better if
overnight).
5. Empty the water tank and the basin (8)
6. Use cold drinking tap water to rinse careful-
ly at least 4-5 times the water tank (6), the
basin (8) and the water level sensor (14) if
necessary separating it from the water tank
as explained in paragraph DAILY CLEAN-
ING.
7. Remove any limescale residues with a
sponge.
8. Clean and dry accurately the internal part
of the water tank (6) and of the basin (8)
and the water level sensor (14) using a soft
cloth.
9. If necessary, repeat the procedure shown
above until all limescale residues are com-
pletely removed.
10. Insert the magnetic ring into the water
level sensor (14) and reassemble the level
