Tanning advice

Tanning with natural or artificial sunlight
Tanning with creams
Before you use your Lumea
Pretreating your skin
Intentionally exposin' your skin to natural or arti'icial sunli'ht, with the aim
o' developin' a tan in'luences the sensitivity and color o' your skin.
There'ore the 'ollowin' is important:
- A'ter each treatment, wait at least 24 hours be'ore tannin'. Even a'ter 24
hours, make sure that the treated skin does not show any redness 'rom
the treatment anymore. Use a sunblock SPF 50+ on the treated areas in
the 48 hours a'ter treatment when exposin' your skin to the sun. A'ter
this period, you can use your re'ular sunblock.
- A'ter tannin', wait at least 48 hours be'ore you use Lumea. Per'orm a
skin test 48 hours a'ter tannin' to determine the appropriate li'ht
intensity settin'.
- Do not use Lumea on sunburned body areas.
Note: Occasional and indirect sun exposure does not qualify as tanning.
I' you have used an arti'icial tannin' lotion, wait until the arti'icial tan has
disappeared completely be'ore you use the device.
Be'ore you use Lumea, you should pretreat your skin by removin' hairs on
the sur'ace o' your skin. This allows the li'ht to be absorbed by the hair
parts below the skin sur'ace to ensure e''ective treatment. You can either
shave, short-trim, epilate or wax. Do not use depilatory creams, as
chemicals may cause skin reactions.
I' you chose to wax, please wait 24 hours be'ore usin' Lumea to let your
skin rest. We recommend that you take a shower be'ore the treatment to
ensure that all possible residue o' wax has been removed 'rom your skin.
1 Pretreat the areas you intend to treat with Lumea.
2 Clean your skin and make sure it is hair-'ree, entirely dry and 'ree 'rom
oily substances.
Note: Once the hairs stop growing back, which usually happens after
4-5 treatments, you no longer have to pretreat your skin before you use
the device.
