Steps 2–8
Installing REO 9100 in the Rack
WARNING: It is recommended that a mechanical lifter
(or at least two people) be used to prevent injury during
rack removal and reinsertion.
1. Install the REO 9100 in the slide rails:
a. Extend fully both middle rail slides.
b. At the front of the rack, lift and engage the appliance
inner slides with the middle slides protruding from
the rack. Slide the unit in until you hit a stop.
c. Simultaneously pressing both lock buttons on the
chassis-mounted inner rails, slide the unit in until
the locks engage (click).
d. Press the same lock buttons again and slide the
unit all the way into the rack.
2. Slide the appliance in and out several times, ensuring
that the inner and outer slide locks engage and the unit
does not bind against the slides.
a. If binding occurs, loosen the screws that secure the
slides to the front and the rear vertical rack rails.
b. Readjust the slide positioning as needed and
retighten the screws.
3. Secure the appliance in the rack:
a. Install the two clip nuts on the vertical rack rails
where the top panel ear holes are located.
b. Slide the appliance all the way into the rack.
c. Secure it with two screws to the clip nuts.
