292 MBUX multimedia system
The MBUX Interior Assistant can differentiate
between driver and front passenger interactions.
The MBUX Interior Assistant supports the following interactions:
Interaction area
In front of the media display/above the touch‐
pad
Above the center console
Below the inside rearview mirror
Front passenger seat
The MBUX Interior Assistant recognizes certain
hand positions (poses).
Interaction
Proximity to the control element
Defined poses
Brief up and down movements
Stretching out the hand above the
front passenger seat
Description
The MBUX Interior Assistant recognizes the approach of the
hand towards a control element.
Depending on the active application, the display will be
adjusted in the media display. Some functions differentiate
between driver and front passenger.
No specific hand position is required.
With defined poses a function is triggered depending on the
application active.
With brief vertical up and down movements below the inside
rearview mirror the reading light for the driver or the front
passenger is switched on and off.
By stretching out the hand above the front passenger seat
the search light is switched on. If the hand is withdrawn from
this area, the search light is switched off again.
