Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future

Do not immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to
the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

you want to process large quantities of ingredients, let the appliance cool down

Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

(EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the
appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.
Before first use
Thoroughly clean the parts that come into contact with food before you use the
appliance for the first time (see chapter 'Cleaning').
Using the appliance

Insert the beaters into the mixer and turn them slightly until they lock into
place ('click'). (Fig. 2)
Note: Make sure that you insert the beater with the blue plastic collar into the larger
opening and the beater with the white plastic collar into the smaller opening.

Put the ingredients in a bowl.
See the table below for the recommended quantities and processing times.

Put the plug in the wall socket.

Lower the beaters into the ingredients and set the speed control to the
desired speed setting to switch on the appliance.

If you want to pause, set the control slide to 0 to switch off the appliance and
put it on its heel (with the beaters still attached) (Fig. 3).

When you have finished mixing, set the control slide to 0 to switch off the
appliance, unplug it and press the eject button to release the beaters (Fig. 4).

Tips

Use the beaters for mixing batters, for example for thin pancakes, wafers, biscuits,
cakes, puff pastries and creams, toppings, instant pudding, egg whites or whole
eggs, mayonnaise, sauces, soups, for pureeing potatoes and whipping double
cream.

For best results first put the liquid ingredients into a bowl and then add the dry
ones.

To prevent splashing, select minimum speed first and then switch to higher
speeds until maximum speed.

For a light whipping result (especially egg white), select maximum speed.
-
Use the turbo setting for ingredients that require brief mixing or great precision
(e.g. whipping cream when it is almost stiff).
Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
The appliance and its parts are not dishwasher proof.
Never immerse the motor unit in water or rinse it under the tap.

Clean all parts in warm soapy water.
Do not use abrasive brushes or aggressive detergents.

Clean the motor unit with a moist soft cloth.
Storage

Wind the cord round the heel of the appliance and attach the loose end of the
cord with the cord clip (Fig. 5).

Environment

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end
of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this,
you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 6).

Recipes
Toscana bread
To prepare this recipe, use the dough hooks and the 3.5L bowl. If your mixer does
not have these accessories, you can order them to your Philips dealer.
Ingredients:

1000g flour

450ml water
-
75g oil
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
1 package yeast
-
1 spoon dry rosemary
-
30g green or black olives without stones.

Put flour, water, salt, sugar, oil and yeast in a bowl.

Knead the dough with the kneading hooks for 60 seconds.

Put the bowl with the dough in the fridge for 60 minutes.

Cut the olives in small pieces.

Take the dough out of the fridge and add the rosemary and the olives.

Insert the kneading hooks. Press the turbo button and mix the added
ingredients for 10 seconds.

Bake the Toscana bread in a baking tin at 180°C for approximately
30 minutes.
Note: This recipe is extremely heavy for your mixer. Let your mixer cool down for 60
minutes after preparing this recipe.
