    3022LV 1. GENERAL MACHINE SPECIFICATIONS The Unit VI.BE.MAC. 3022LV is a VIBEMAC sewing head flat base unit with Feed Dog and Needle Feed to sew a waist band to a trouser piece by piece. On the unit is install an Auxiliary Pneumatic Puller device drive by ZEROMAX and a special Trim Chain Cutter device makes from two blades move by two pneumatic cylinders.

    All parts damaged through improper use by the operator, and/or improper adjustment of the unit by technical personnel not qualified by VI.BE.MAC., will NOT be considered as defective by the manufacturer. These will be charged for, including all transport costs and/or subsequent installation costs.

    We have provided a list of the most common adjustments to be made to the machine in the case of malfunctioning. It should be remembered that only personnel authorized by VI.BE.MAC.     VI.BE.MAC.S.p.A. 3022LV 15.5 NEEDLE BAR PENDULUM HEIGHT It is very important to adjust the needle position with respect to the needle plate hole. If this operation is not carried out correctly it could lead to the breakage of the unstitching sheet or problems during sewing (dropped stitches).

    VI.BE.MAC.S.p.A. 3022LV 15.7 CROCHET HOOK – NEEDLE DISTANCE In order to position the crochet hook unit correctly with respect to the needle, place the needle bar at bottom dead centre. Loosen the two screws (A) (hexagonal head) that attach the clamp to the shaft and check that the distance between the needle centre and the crochet hook tip is 4.5 mm.

    VI.BE.MAC.S.p.A. 3022LV 15.8.2 MOVEMENT LENGTH In order to make the loop widening movement as broad as possible, the position of the cam with respect to the transverse shaft determines the lever arm and therefore the total movement of the loop-widening unit. Always position the cam fixture screws as illustrated below and then move the cam to the left or right.

    VI.BE.MAC.S.p.A. 3022LV 15.10 TIP LENGTH The 3022 automatic unit uses a new sewing head which has been specifically developed for this kind of sewing process by VI.BE.MAC. Spa. 15.10.1 MECHANICAL VERSION In order to make a change, press the button on the sewing head base and set the clamp movement. For the tip length in the mechanical version, adjust the needle bar movement on the basis of the assembled tip length.

    VI.BE.MAC.S.p.A. 3022LV 15.11 ADJUSTING THE CLAMP HEIGHT: The clamp should be adjusted so that it comes up through the 1 mm needle plate. In order to make this adjustment, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw (1) that holds the clamp itself in place and position it as illustrated below. Then adjust the pin (2) that acts as a rebate.
