Self Test Function

The DFX-8000 provides a self test (self printing) function that checks the
following:
The control circuit

The printer mechanism
l
The print quality
l
To run the self test in draft mode, turn on the printer while holding down the
LINE FEED button. To run the self test in NLQ mode, turn on the printer while
holding down the FORM FEED/COPY button. To momentarily interrupt the self
test, press the ON LINE button. To end the self test, turn off the printer.
The self test prints the following:
The ROM program version
l
The DIP switch settings
l
The built-in character set
l
