Important
Before connecting the appliance check that the voltage indicated
on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage.
Keep away from water! Do not use this product near or over
water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks, etc. When used in a
bathroom, unplug the apliance after use since the proximity of
water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched off.
Always switch the appliance off before putting it down, even if it is
only for a moment.
For additional protection the installation of a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the
bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
Never obstruct the air grills.
This product is equipped with an automatic overheating
protection device. If the appliance overheats, it will switch off.
Unplug the appliance. After cooling down for a few minutes, the
appliance can be used again. Before reusing, check the inlet and
outlet grilles for possible blockage by fluff, hair, etc.
If in doubt, consult your dealer or a Philips service centre.
If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it must only be
replaced by Philips or their service representative, as special tools
and/or parts are required.
For examination or repairs always return the appliance to an
authorised Philips service centre. Unqualified repair work can lead
to extreme hazards for the user.
