Silencer

To achieve even further reductions in
noise levels, a special silencer (optional
accessory) can be fitted in the ducting
system.
Extraction mode
The silencer not only reduces noise
from the motor outside the house, but
also sounds from outside (e.g. traffic
noise). For this reason the silencer must
be positioned as close as possible to
the ducting exit .

Electrical connection

Installation, maintenance or
repair work by unqualified persons
could be extremely dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable
for unauthorised work.
All electrical work should only be
undertaken by a suitably qualified
and competent electrician in strict
accordance with current national and
local safety and building code
regulations.
This cooker hood must only be
connected to a properly installed power
supply.
The electrical system must comply with
VDE 0100 (BS 7671 in the UK).
For increased safety, VDE recommends
in its guideline DIN VDE 0100, Part 739
to use a residual current device with a
trip current of 30 mA (DIN VDE 0664).
A suitable means of disconnection must
be provided on site for each pole.
Suitable means of disconnection
include switches with an all-pole
contact gap of at least 3 mm. These
include circuit breakers, fuses and
contactors (EN 60335).
The relevant connection data can be
found on the data plate (see "After sales
service and warranty"). Ensure that this
data matches the voltage and
frequency of your household power
supply.
If a flexible connection cable is being
used to connect the appliance to the
power supply, the cross-sectional area
of the individual leads must be between
0.75 mm² and 1.5 mm².
