5. Installation

Refer to (3. Installation) in the SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User Manual.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Keep the remnant parts in a safe place for future use.
Important
Make sure the location to install the product so that its front panel
(Connector side) faces the rear of rack.
If the product is not installed properly in the rack, connection of
InfiniBand cable may become difficult.
 
Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the device safety.
Failure to observe the precautions may cause death or serious personal injury.
For details, see "Safety Notes" in "Notes on Use".
Use only in the specified environment.
Do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe.

Do not install or remove the device only by a single person.
Do not pinch your fingers.
Do not install or remove device with the cable being connected.
Do not pull out the device from the rack when the rack is unstable.
Do not leave more than one device being pulled out from the rack.
Do not apply load on the device being pulled out from the rack.
Do not provide the wiring for the device to exceed the rating of the power supply.
Do not use the device in the environment where corrosive gas is generated.
The products intake an air from front (Power side) and discharge air to rear (Connector side).
When installing this product in the rack, make sure to align the direction of discharge air with
other devices on the rack.
Do not block an inlet port on Power Side of switch.
Blocking the inlet port reduces cooling effect in the device to result in malfunction, fumes, or a
fire.
Do not drop the product.
The rack mount kit do not have any stopper or locking mechanism. To install/remove the
product to/from the rack, firmly hold the bottom of product.
