Setup

Important: Remove and discard the protective plastic
sheet that covers the engine and any other plastic or
wrapping on the machine.
Important: To prevent accidental starting, do not insert
the key into the electric-start ignition until you are ready
to start the engine (electric-start model only).

Assembling the Handle

No Parts Required
Procedure
WARNING
Assembling and unfolding the handle improperly
can damage the cables, causing an unsafe operating
condition.
• Do not damage the cables when unfolding the
handle.
• If a cable is damaged, contact an Authorized
Service Dealer.
1. Rotate the upper handle so that it nests together with
the lower handle

Filling the Engine with Oil

No Parts Required
Procedure
Important: Your machine does not come with oil in
the engine, but it does come with a bottle of oil. Before
starting the engine, fill the engine with oil.
Engine oil capacity: 0.53 L (18 fl oz)
Oil viscosity: SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 detergent oil
API service classification: SJ or higher
