Signet 9900 Batch Module Instruction Sheet

To convert a Signet 3-9900-1P Transmitter (Generation II) into a Batch
Controller System, the 3-9900.397 Batch Module and 3-9900.393 Relay
Module must be used. Note: Verify 9900 Transmitter version level under
the OPTIONS Menu.
3-9900-1P Panel Mount
CAUTION:
Exercise care when installing module.
Do not bend connecting pins.
Align pins and connectors then push module
firmly into place, then attach with screw.
Avoid Electrostatic Discharge (ESD):
Minimize handling of module to reduce the possibility of damage due to ESD.
Handle module by the edges.
Never touch any exposed circuitry or contacts.
Wear an anti-static wristband or stand on an anti-static mat, or keep one hand touching a properly grounded pipe or other properly
grounded piece of metal when handling module.
The 3-9900.397 Batch Module is only compatible with the 3-9900-1P Panel Mount Transmitter (Generation II).
The Panel Mount unit can be installed in the optional Wall Mount Accessory
(3-9900.392, 159 001 700), for fi eld mount installation.

Installation:

Install the Batch Module and Relay Module to the 9900 prior to mounting the 9900 transmitter.
Complete all wiring to terminal plugs prior to installing these plugs into the 9900, Batch Module or Relay Module.
The Batch module plugs in and attaches with a screw.
1. Remove terminals from the receptacle of each plug-in module prior to installation.
2. It may be helpful to use a standard screwdriver to gently pry removable terminals away from the receptacle on
the plug-in modules.
3. Strip 10 mm to 12 mm (0.4 in. to 0.5 in.) of insulation from wire tips and tin bare ends to eliminate fraying.
Connect an external button or keypad (not supplied)
to remotely control the 9900-1BC by wiring the
Batch Module as shown.

*Wire an external input as override
for preventing batch from starting.
CAUTION:
DO NOT bundle Relay Module wiring with
other wiring. Doing so may cause injury and/
or damage to 9900 Transmitter, Relay Module,
and Batch Module.
