Here is how to configure a new powerline network with FRITZ!Power­
line 1260E and a second powerline device:

FRITZ!Powerline 1260E
Plug the powerline devices into two outlets near the internet
router (FRITZ!Box). For configuration of the powerline network
you can also plug both devices briefly into a (multi-outlet) power
strip.
Wait until the "WLAN" LED on FRITZ!Powerline 1260E lights up.
On FRITZ!Powerline 1260E: Press the "Connect" button briefly.
Transmission of the network password starts and the LEDs
flash.
On the second powerline device: Press the button for secure
powerline connections (often labeled "Pairing" or "Security").
The device receives the network password. When the two
devices are connected to each other, the "Powerline" LED on
FRITZ!Powerline 1260E lights up.
