Turn off the fi ltrati on system and close the necessary valves in order to safely remove the sensor from the POD Kit
(or collar) and prevent any possible leaks.
Rinse the sensor in clean water under the tap (1 minute). Remove any excess water by shaking (do not dry the
sensor using a cloth).
Wash the sensor by placing it in a diluted hydrochloric acid soluti on* (2 minutes).
*Hydrochloric acid is a hazardous chemical that may cause burns, lesions and irritati ons.
It must be handled with care using the required personal protecti ve equipment (gloves, goggles,
coveralls).
Refer to the substance's material safety data sheet for more informati on.
• This cleaning soluti on is commercially available in a ready-for-use format.
• Preparing a hydrochloric acid soluti on: Dilute 1 mL (10 drops) of commercially-available hydrochloric
acid (HCl 37 %) in 50 mL of tap water (1/2 glass of water). Always pour the hydrochloric acid into the
water.
• The reverse method can lead to acid projecti ons.
• Once cleaning is complete, dispose of the soluti on according to the standards in eff ect in the country
of use.
Rinse the sensor again in clean water under the tap (1 minute). Remove any excess water by shaking (do not dry the
sensor using a cloth). Repositi on the sensor on the POD Kit (or collar) on the system. Open the valves and restart
the fi ltrati on system.
For a new sensor (or aft er an extended storage period outside of wa-
ter), an acti vati on ti me is necessary, ranging from 30 minutes to 72
hours (depending on the sensor reference and storage conditi ons).
During this ti me period, the sensor cannot detect the ACL level of
the pool.
Brush the acti ve parts of the sensor (the juncti ons and the metal strip) using a
