Preparation
Whenever possible remove the drain
stopper completely before operating the
drain opener.
When using for opening toilet drains, fill
the toilet with water. The water level (B)
must be higher than the cup (8/9). For best
seal always attach cup with cone facing
into the toilet drain (A).
Flush lower floor toilets to be sure they are
clear before using the drain opener on
upper floor toilets.
Always use the splash guard (11) to
protect against possible splash. Drape the
sheet over the rim of the bowl and secure
the sheet edges with duct tape.
When using for opening kitchen/bath
sinks, the drain must be filled with water.
Also fill the sink with water. The water
level must be higher than the cup (8/9).
For best seal attach cup with flat side on
the drain.
Cover the overflow opening (C) with a
piece of cloth or use duct tape to close the
opening.
For dual sinks have another person wedge
a wet cloth into the drain of the adjacent
sink (E) and hold in place.
Add water to the blocked sink (D) until the
cup (8/9) is covered completely.
When using for opening shower/bath tub
sinks, proceed as described in "opening
kitchen/bath sinks". The shower tray must
be filled with water. The overflows have to
be sealed with duct tape.
