Operation with controlled carrier enables the connection of the Mini Driver MPI in a multipoint configuration (see Figure 1). The unit fully operates even if only Transmit Data and Receive Data are connected—no control signals are needed. Both positive and negative signals are generated in compliance with RS232C/V.24 standards, regardless of constantly high or constantly low Transmit Data.
