2-1. Driving procedures

Brake Hold

When the vehicle is stopped by depressing the brake pedal, the brake
hold system keeps the brakes applied. The system releases the brakes
when the accelerator pedal is depressed to allow smooth start off.

Without paddle shift switches

Depress the brake pedal and stop the vehicle while the
shift lever is in "D", "S" or "N".
The brakes will be held. The brake hold operated indicator (

Depress the accelerator pedal while the shift lever is in
"D" or "S" to accelerate the vehicle.
The brakes will be released.
