Transmission
Starting off
Apply the service brake; do not depress the accelerator pedal.
Press button D 6 or R 8.
Vehicles with backup warning system: The backup warning system sounds in reverse gear.
Only release the brakes when ready to move off, otherwise there is a risk of the vehicle starting off prema-
turely (creeping forward). On uphill gradients release the brakes and simultaneously depress the accelerator
pedal.
