Software update process

The following is required to update the charging station(s) to the current software version:
1x Software update file with the ending "*.keb" (available as download).
You can download the latest firmware at www.kecontact.com (download area). A new firmware
can take into account modified standards or improve the compatibility with new electric vehicles,
for example.
Procedure – update via web-interface
Follow the instructions in chapter
Procedure – update via USB stick
Plug the USB stick into your PC.
Format the USB stick file system with FAT32.
Create a new folder with the name "UPD".
Copy the ".keb file" into the "UPD" folder.
After the copy process has completed, eject the USB stick from the PC properly.
Plug the USB stick into the USB port of the charging station.
The update starts automatically and "Updating KeMovePDC..." appears on the display. The update
process take several minutes.
After a successful update, the charging station will restart automatically and you can proceed with the op-
eration of your charging station. Otherwise, please check our online FAQs.

Changing the OCPP version

The charging station supports the OCPP protocol version 1.5 in the as-delivered state. To update the version
from 1.5 to 2.0, proceed as follows:
Proceed as described in chapter
You will require the file "KemoveCPM-OCPP20-setup.keb" (available as download at www.kecon-
tact.com).
After setup has completed, check the configuration of the OCPP central system.
Note
To roll back the version of the OCPP protocol from 2.0 to 1.5 again, proceed as described above.
However, use the file "KemoveCPM-OCPP15-setup.keb" for this.
