1 General
1.1
Boiler Description
G 1000 boilers consist of a cast-iron body, 2-stage
atmospheric gas burners and electronic ignition via
intermittent pilot burner. They are available in 5 rated
outputs ranging from 167kW to 348kW.
These boilers are delivered in three packages, which contain:
- one package: assembled boiler body with smoke box and
burner;
- one package: gas train;
- one package: outer casing;
- one package: Control Panel KSF.
The boilers are delivered for use with natural gas
G20-20mbar.
For gas changeover, please refer to Section 4.4.
BAXI ROCA certifies that the boilers mentioned in
this instruction manual comply with the essential
requirements of the «Gas Appliances» and «Hot
Water Boilers Energy Efficiency» European
Directives and are therefore permitted to carry the
CE mark.
1.2 Directives and Standards
These boilers are CE-certified in compliance with the
following European Directives:
- Gas Appliances Directive
- Hot Water Boilers Energy Efficiency Directive92/42/EEC
- Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
- Low Voltage Directive
These are type B11 boilers intended for use in hot-water
heating systems with a maximum operating temperature of
110ºC and 5 bar pressure.
Both installation and maintenance of the appliance should
be carried out by a qualified professional as directed in
these instructions and according to current regulations.
BAXI ROCA shall not be held responsible for any
damage resulting from operations other than those
contained in this manual or performed by non-
qualified persons.
1.3
Control cycle
Upon start-up, the 1
(1) will open, the ignition electrode (4) will automatically
ignite the pilot burner (2) (intermittent pilot burner), whose
flame, sensed by the flame rod, will remain alight during
commissioning of the main burner (5). All this is monitored
by a control box which signals the main gas valve (3) to
open.
During regulation, the safety devices are self-checked
before ignition of the main burner, with the ignition burner
performing a short stop, then re-starting.
