Tools Needed

■ Soft, water-resistant pad
■ Flexible scraper
■ Box knife
■ Long-reach 5/16" hex socket driver
■ Short Phillips screwdriver or ratchet nut driver with fl exible
shaft
■ Needle-nose pliers
■ Thread locking compound, semipermanent type (such as
Loctite 222 [blue])
■ Long-reach 5/32" Allen wrench
■ Flexible 5/16" hex socket driver

■ (1) Foamed cooling unit assembly
■ (3) Thermal mastic tubes
■ (1) Plastic bag for shipping back to Norcold
■ (1) Service Kit Literature
■ (1) Burner Box Base
■ (1) Burner Cover Assembly
■ (8) #10-32 x 3/4 " Allen head screws
■ (8) #10-32 x 3/4 " Hex head screws
■ (1) #8-18 x 1/2" Hex head screw
■ (1) Cable tie
■ (1) Cable tie mount

Materials Not Included

■ (1) Silicone sealant and gun
■ Adhesive-backed aluminum tape,
2" x 12'
■ (4) Plastic tie wraps, 1/8" x 5"

Failure to follow these instructions may lead to poor cooling
performance and or unnecessary repairs.
Note:
Kit instructions are to be used with the support of the service
manual.
Note:
Have a healthy adult available; you will need help lifting items
several times during this procedure.
Note:
Keep all removed parts and materials for reassembly.

Procedures

To replace the cooling unit, follow the procedures in this order:

1. Shut Down

2. Disassemble
3. Replace Cooling Unit
4. Assemble
5. Restore Power
6. Power On / Test

in this kit. Failure to use new supplied parts could result in unit
not heating safely or effectively!

adjustment, alteration, service or maintenance can cause
injury or property damage.
Note:
For effi ciency and ease, it is HIGHLY RECOMMEND-
ED that (space permitting) unit is laid on the fl oor to perform
service.
