Say "LISTEN TO ME" to AIBO. AIBO then poses as
shown on the right and gets ready for you to teach it a word.

Touch AIBO on the head or the back first. Then, within 10
seconds, teach it a word. AIBO can listen and memorize a word for
of up to 2 seconds in length.

When AIBO has memorized the word, it repeats it after about 10
seconds using its own special language. If it could not hear the
word or you try to teach the word exactly the same as one of the
voice commands used in the Party Mascot, it expresses the failure
by posing, then returns to its condition in step 1 on "How to teach
AIBO a word."

After repeating the word, AIBO poses as shown on the right
and waits for you to confirm the word. If the word is okay,
touch AIBO on the head. If not, repeat the procedure from
step 1 on "How to teach AIBO a word."
After AIBO memorizes the word, it poses as shown
on the right and waits for you to start the game.
