IMPORTANT NOTES
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS may be used in either the front or the
rear seats of the vehicle but may not be used in the front seat with vehicles
equipped with an air-bag.
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS may only be used in a rearward facing
position i.e. The infant must face the rear of the vehicle.
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS is only suitable for use in vehicles
equipped with a 3-point safety belt that complies with SABS 1080 or
other equivalent specifications.
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS may be used in all vehicles equipped
with a 3-point safety belt. Do not use the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS
in vehicles equipped with a 2-point seat belt (lap belt).
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS buckle is not childproof so that in an
event of an accident the buckle can be quickly released. Your child should
be taught not to tamper with the buckle.
- The PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS must be replaced if it has been exposed
to violent stresses in an accident.
- The interior of a vehicle can become very hot when standing in direct
sunlight. It is recommended to cover or remove the PICCOLO Snug 'n
Safe PLUS from the vehicle to prevent it from becoming to hot and burning
your baby.
Ensure - that you follow the installation instructions carefully.
Ensure - that the harness and vehicle seat belts are tightened for
maximum protection, and that they are not twisted.
Ensure - that the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS is installed so that it is
not liable to become trapped by a moveable seat or in the door
of the vehicle.
Ensure - that you keep this user guide in a safe place for future reference.
Ensure - maximum safety by keeping your baby in the harness.
Ensure - that you position the lightest passenger on the seat behind the
PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS if there are no rear seat belts
available in your vehicle. In the case of an accident a heavier
passenger could cause more damage / injuries to your child than
a lighter one.
Ensure - that you keep the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS in a safe place
when not in use.
Ensure - that, if necessary, you replace the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS
cover with one recommended by the supplier as it constitutes an
integral part of the restraints performance.
Ensure - that your child does not unfasten the harness buckle.
Do not - leave your baby unattended in the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS at
any time.
Do not - use any objects such as a pillow or cushion to raise the
PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS. In the case of an accident the
PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS will not protect your baby as it
should.
Do not - make any alterations or additions to the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe
PLUS or change the way it's harness or car seat belts are made
or used.
Do not - leave any loose objects such as books, bags, etc. in the vehicle.
In an emergency, when braking, loose objects keep moving and
may cause unnecessary injuries to your baby.
Do not - leave children unattended in your vehicle.
Do not - allow people to play with or tamper with the PICCOLO Snug 'n
Safe PLUS.
Do not - use the PICCOLO Snug 'n Safe PLUS without the cover.
