• Never use the Doris Relax Chair on uneven surfaces, steep
slopes or stairs. Prohibit unauthorised use of the Doris
Relax Chair. Always apply brakes when the chair is not
being moved, even on flat ground. Before adjusting any part
of the chair, always apply the brakes. Always check functiona-
lity of the brakes, inspect castors for wear and tear, ensure
that all accessories and parts that may become loose are
firmly attached.
• Never park the Doris Relax Chair on a slope.
• Never use the Doris Relax Chair if parts are damaged or
missing. Ensure that all adjustable parts are locked in place
before each use of the Doris Relax Chair. Clean the Doris
Relax Chair as described in the "Cleaning" section of this
manual. Contact your specialist dealer who supplied you
with the Doris Relax Chair in the event of an accident or
defect. Please keep this user manual readily at hand at all
times for future reference.
• The Doris Relax Chair requires annual servicing to ensure
its longevity and prevent damages to the product or harm to
its user. Maintenance services must be performed by an
authorised person in accordance with the maintenance
schedule.

ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATION

Bring the chair into the upright position by pushing down on
the tilt adjustment lever
Position the chair close to the patient to ensure easy access.
Ensure that the legrest
. The legrest is folded away by applying the adjustment

levers to the left and right of the legrest hinges. To adjust the
footrest, release both levers. Reapply the lever when you
have reached the desired position. As soon as the patient is
sitting down in the seat, you can adjust the seat to sitting or
lying position suited to the individual patient's needs by ap-
plying the tilt adjustment lever. The backrest and seat angles
will automatically stay in an orthopaedically and anatomi-
cally correct position, regardless of the backrest tilt. By re-
leasing the legrest adjustment levers to the left and right of
the hinge, you can now position the legrest in the desired
height and tilt angle. Once you have reached the desired posi-
tion, the hinges are fixed in place using the two levers.
