Turning ON the main power of the unit
Set the MAIN SWITCH on the rear panel to ON.
The STANDBY switch fl ashes for 10 seconds before changing to steady lighting.

Turning ON the unit
Press the STANDBY switch. The display shows the remaining waiting time (about 50 seconds) until the vacuum tubes are warmed
up. The STANDBY switch turns off when the unit is warmed up.

Playing back from an audio device

Adjusting the sound volume
Turn the VOLUME knob clockwise to increase the sound volume.
Turning OFF the STANDBY switch on the front panel does not cancel the set sound volume, but turning OFF the MAIN SWITCH on
the rear panel resets the sound volume to MUTE.
Function of the DIRECT INPUT switch on the rear panel
Be careful with the sound volume setting when turning ON and OFF DIRECT INPUT.
ON: Use the volume knob on the audio device to adjust the sound volume as the VOLUME knob on the unit is disabled. The
internal volume setting is the setting made before turning ON the DIRECT INPUT switch.
OFF: "- - " appears on the display indicating that you can adjust the sound volume on the unit.
Adjusting Headphone Impedance and Gain
Adjust the IMPEDANCE/GAIN selector to suit the impedance of your headphones.
Select LOW IMP to set a low impedance and HIGH IMP to set a high impedance. Use LOW GAIN to set a low gain and HIGH GAIN to set a
high gain.
Impedance and gain adjustments should be set to suit the specifi cations on the headphones you are using.
The unit supports the following impedances
LOW IMP: 16 - 600 Ω
HIGH IMP: 48 - 600 Ω
AUTO STANDBY Function
When the VOLUME knob, IMPEDANCE/GAIN SELECTOR, AUTO STANDBY switch are not used for 30 minutes or more, "PO" is displayed
for a few seconds after which the unit automatically enters standby mode. Set the AUTO STANDBY switch to OFF to turn off the AUTO
STANDBY function.
When the unit is in standby mode after using the AUTO STANDBY function, turn on the STANDBY switch to turn the power back on.
