Tools Required for Installation:
• Flathead Screwdriver
• Suitable #8 Pan Head Screws
(4 per shade)
• Safety Glasses
• Gloves
Step 1 Attach Televent Hoods
Attach each Televent Hood with appropriate
fasteners with the bottom edge at the same
height as the bottom of the drop ceiling.
Ensure the middle of hood is even with the
middle of the mullion.

Leave spreader in the
hood during installation
to avoid compression
during ceiling installation.
The Televent Shade system is a unitized shade cassette system designed to form a vented pocket
above the ceiling. The Televent system may be either motorized or manual, and is available with the
full range of fabrics and accessories from the Solarfective collection.
CAUTION – Be sure to follow all appropriate safety guidelines, including the use of safety glasses
and ensure to keep the shade fabric clean by using clean gloves whenever touching it.

Step 3 Install Ceiling Tiles
NOTE: Coordinate installation with the
ceiling contractor to ensure ceiling
is installed level prior to attaching
shade hoods.
Bring ceiling tile to T-Bar as shown. The
Televent Hood cannot support any ceiling
weight. Ensure that all ceiling materials are
properly secured with their own support
system, as using the shading as support will
cause mounting system failure.
