If you have video eqmpment other than Sony brand that you want to control
with the TV's remote control, use the following procedure to program the
remote control.
The equipment must have infrared {IR) remote capability in
order to be used with the remote control.
]'urn to the list of "Manufacturer's Codes" on page 53, and find the
three-digit code number for the manufiacturer of your equipment. (If
more than one code number is listed, use the number listed first,

,_ You must do step 4 within 30 seconds of step 3, or you must
redo steps 3 through 4,
]'o check if the code number works, aim the TV's remote control at the
eqmpment and press that corresponds with that equipment. If
tt responds, you are done. If not. try using another code listed for that
manufacturer.
If more than one codc number is listed, try emerlng them one by one
until you come to the correct code for your equipmcm.
[fyou enter a new code numbcr, thc code number you prcviously
entered at that setting is erased.
In some cases, you may not bc ablc to operate your equlpmcnt with the
supplied remote control. In such cases, use the eqmpment's own rcmote
control unit.
Whenever '.ou rcmove the batterics to rcplace them. the codc nuurbers
may revert to thc factory setting and must be rcset.
