• The OPERATION >Display On/Off >Wireless Status menu item
allows you to turn the signal status display for the wireless
adapter On and Off.
• The OPERATION >Display On/Off >Ext Media Remain allows you
to turn the remaining recording time display for the SD card
inserted in the wireless adapter On and Off.
• The OPERATION >Display On/Off >Sending Clip Info menu item
allows you to turn the transfer status display for clips sent via
the wireless adapter On and Off.
Notes
• When a wireless adapter is connected, the Wi-Fi functions of the
CBK-WA01 Wi-Fi adapter and the IFU-WLM3 USB wireless LAN
module cannot be used.
• Parallel Rec cannot be configured for special recording modes.
Parallel Rec can be configured for the following video formats.
 1920  1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P, 23.98P
 1440  1080/59.94i, 50i, 29.97P, 25P, 23.98P
 1280  720/59.94P, 50P
USB wireless LAN module
You can now use Wi-Fi connections with the IFU-WLM3 USB
wireless LAN module (not supplied) mounted.
Notes
• Only SSID and Ch will appear in the NETWORK SCAN list
displayed via operation of the MAINTENANCE >Wi-Fi Setting
>Scan Networks menu item. After selecting the connection
target, reconfigure the MAINTENANCE >Wi-Fi Setting >Network
Type menu item.
• If the Network Type menu item is set to Adhoc, the
MAINTENANCE >Wi-Fi Setting >Wi-Fi Status menu item will
be grayed out, and the communication status will not be
displayed.
Video format
The UDF (MXF) HD420 35 Mbps 1920  1080 recording format is
now supported.
The HD420 HQ1920 setting value has been added to the
OPERATION >Format >Rec Format menu item during HD/
UDF/1080 mode.
ALAC (Auto Lens Aberration Compensation)
The ALAC function can now be turned off, and its off status can
be displayed.
• You can set the aberration compensation function to Auto
or Off (i.e., enabled or disabled when a compatible lens is
connected) using the MAINTENANCE >Camera Config >ALAC
menu item. You can also perform remote controls via the
REMOTE connecter.
• The OPERATION >Display On/Off >ALAC menu item allows
you to turn the status display for the aberration compensation
function On and Off. When the status display is set to On,
the aberration compensation function is set to Auto, and
compensation is being performed by a compatible lens, "ALAC"
will appear in the VF screen.
Note
Even if a compatible lens is connected, the status will not appear
if compensation is not being performed. In such cases, perform
lens calibration, for example.
Lens operation
The lens supplied with the PMW-400 is now supported.

ATW Mode
• Performance of ATW operation has been improved.
• When ATW mode is set to "Pure, " automatic adjustment can be
performed faster for a wider range of brightness.
Major functions updated with V1.4
Wi-Fi remote control
You can use a browser on a device with Wi-Fi connection
capability to remotely control this camcorder for lens control,
white balance adjustment, and recording and playback
operations.
The MAINTENANCE >Wi-Fi Setting >Wi-Fi Remote menu item
allows you to turn this function On and Off.
Notes
• To use this function, it is necessary to mount the CBK-WA01
Wi-Fi Adapter on this camcorder. Lens control by this function
is only possible when the camcorder is equipped with the lens
supplied with the PMK-350K.
• This function is not guaranteed to be usable with any device
with Wi-Fi connection capability. For models of device with
which the function can be used, contact your Sony dealer.
• When you are using a Wi-Fi device to remotely control this
camcorder, the speed of operation and display of the Wi-Fi
device may become extremely slow. In such case, refresh
the browser display on the Wi-Fi device. If nevertheless the
condition does not improve, try again setting up a Wi-Fi
connection between the device and this camcorder.
• Remote control via the REMOTE connector disables Wi-Fi
remote control. Disconnect the remote control unit from the
REMOTE connector.
ATW Mode
Performance of ATW operation has been improved.
Major functions updated with V1.35
CBK-DCB01 Demand Converter Box
Focus/zoom operation from commercially available focus
demand/zoom demand devices is available through the
(optional) CBK-DCB01 Demand Converter Box (when using lens
supplied with PMW-350K).
• Supported demand devices
Canon Focus Demand FR-35 or equivalent, Zoom Demand ZSD-
15M II
FUJIFILM Focus Demand EPD-21A-A01, Zoom Demand ERD-
20A-A02
• Recording start/stop is also possible with the REC switch on the
demand device connected to the CBK-DCB01.
• Sony RM-B170 or RM-B750 Remote Control Unit can be
connected to the CBK-DCB01.
Restrictions
• When the CBK-DCB01 is connected to the camcorder, the
operation of the PUSH AF button and FOCUS AUTO/MANUAL
switch on the lens, and zoom operation with assignable buttons
on this camcorder are not possible.
• In addition to the above restriction, the following controls on
the camcorder become inoperative when a remote control unit
is connected to the CBK-DCB01: GAIN switch, WHITE BAL switch,
AUTO W/B BAL switch, SHUTTER switch and OUTPUT switch.
