Appliance operation guide
Switching on the freezer for the first time
Plug in the appliance.
Six horizontal lines appear on the digital display (2):
After about 3 seconds, when the appliance is warm (internal
temperature above 10°C) only the two lines in the middle remain
illuminated.
The green power ON led (1) lights up.
The red alarm led (9) flashes and the acoustic alarm sounds
Press the reset button (8) to deactivate the acoustic alarm.
The acoustic alarm stops while the red alarm led continues to
flash.
Once the appliance reaches a temperature of at least -12°C the
red led (9) stops flashing.
Food can now be placed in the freezer.
NOTE: it will prove difficult to open the freezer lid immediately
after closing it because the hermetic seal means there is a partial
vacuum inside the freezer.
Wait a few minutes before re-opening the lid.
Freezer compartment temperature adjustment
The appliance is normally factory set for optimum operation at a temperature of -18°C.
To alter the internal temperature between -16°C and -24°C or select the ECONOMY mode
(see " ECO" setting) proceed as follows:
Press one of the temperature adjustment buttons (3 ; 4) once.
The digital display (2) flashes, showing the previous temperature setting.
Press button (4) as required to increase the temperature.
With each touch of the button the temperature will increase by 1°C. During this procedure the
temperature will flash on the digital display.
Press button (3) as required to lower the freezer temperature.
With each touch of the button the temperature will decrease by 1°C. During this procedure the
temperature will flash on the digital display.
Approximately 5 seconds after the button has been pressed for the last time, the set temperature is
stored, the digital display (2) stops flashing and the current internal temperature is shown on the
display.
To check the temperature setting at any time, press either one of the temperature adjustment
buttons. The set temperature will flash on the display for 5 seconds, after which the display will
revert to showing the current internal temperature.
NOTE: in the event of a power failure, settings remain stored in memory.
The time required for the freezer to reach the set temperature depends on climatic
conditions and the temperature setting selected.
ECO setting
ECONOMY mode should be used when the appliance is only partially filled, in particular when food
does not reach above the level indicated by the "e" on the separator.
To select ECONOMY mode, proceed as follows:
Press one of the temperature adjustment buttons (3 ; 4) once.
The digital display (2) flashes, showing the previous temperature setting.
Press button (4) as required to increase the temperature until the display shows EC.
NOTE: if ECO mode is selected while the fast freeze function is in operation, the fast freeze
function is automatically deactivated.
