Making a call

From the idle screen
1. Enter the phone number.
(
2. Press
to dial the number.
)
3. Press
to hang up.

For international calls, long press
enter the "+" sign for the international prefix.
Use the phonebook (see "Contacts"
on page 33)

1. On the idle screen, press
Menu
>
Contacts
>
View contacts
to open the contacts list.
2. To search for a contact, push up the slide,
and enter the contact name (up to 5
characters) using the alphanumeric keypad.

Press
repeatedly to select a text entry
method.
Calling
3. Select a contact from the list, and press
to dial the selected number.
For IP calls (China only), select
Options
>
IP
call. You can preset your IP
service number under
Settings
>
number.
)
4. Press
to hang up.
Speed dial
On the idle screen, you can call a preset speed-
to
dial number by long pressing a numeric key.
Set your speed-dial number before dialing it.
To assign a speed-dial key to a contact:
1. Go to
Settings
>
General
>
Speed
dial.

2. In
Enable speed
dial, press
to turn on
speed dial, if necessary.
To make a speed dial, always check
that the speed-dial function is enabled.
