The green MESSAGE light on the Binatone Caprice 670 flashes when there are new messages. To stop it from flashing when there are no new messages, ensure that all messages have been played. If the light continues to flash, try pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button to confirm there are no unheard messages. If necessary, delete all messages by pressing the DELETE button after playback.

Thanks Mr Anderson. I've tried to do as you suggested but nothing happens. I've got 4 'NEW' calls which are the result of my intercepting incoming before the answerphone message finishes, but I'm damned if I can't erase them and stop the flashing green light.

To erase 'NEW' calls on the Binatone Caprice 670 and stop the flashing green light:
1. With the phone in standby mode, press the UP or DOWN button to view the Caller Display list. 2. Go through all new caller display records using the UP or DOWN button. 3. The flashing will stop only after you have viewed all new caller display records.
No deletion is required—just viewing all new calls will stop the flashing light.

Yes it works. Thanks. I actually fiddled around with the machine for quite some time yesterday and the light went out, but I haven't any idea what I did. I was fiddling with the up and down buttons round the menu/ok button so must have been lucky - hope the luck continues! It's what you've said above. Thanks again, Best wishes, Mike
