10. Fault finding chart
Before starting work on the pump, make sure that the electricity supply to the pump has been
switched off and that it cannot be accidentally switched on.

The parts can be ordered from your pump supplier.
If other pump components are damaged or defective,
contact your pump supplier.
Note: The cable and the float switch must be
replaced by an authorised Grundfos service work-
shop.

Remedy
Switch on the electricity supply.
Replace defective fuses.
The thermal switch restarts the pump
when the motor has cooled to normal
temperature.
The pump starts automatically after
sufficient cooling.
Clean the pump, see section 8.1.
Move the pump to a position with higher
water level or add water until the pump
starts sucking.
Clean the pump, see section 8.1.
Check and clean the non-return valve, if
fitted.
Replace defective parts, see section 11.

12. Disposal
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest
Grundfos company or service workshop.
