6 Connection of the Camera
GB
1) Connect output jack VIDEO OUT (5) via a 75 Ω
cable (e. g. VEC-62/10 by MONACOR) to a moni-
tor. Observe the correct 75 Ω termination at the
monitor resp. in case of series connection at the
last monitor. With a cable length of more than
100 m a video amplifier should be inserted be-
tween camera and cable to compensate for cable
losses.
When using several cameras, insert a video
splitter (e. g. TVSP-410 by MONACOR) or a cam-
era switcher (e. g. TVS-410/-810 by MONACOR)
between the cameras and the monitor.
2) Connect a regulated 12 V power supply unit to jack
DC +12V (7) (e. g. PS-12CCD by MONACOR).
The positive pole must be at the centre pin. The
current consumption is 200 mA. A low voltage plug
5.5/2.1 mm (outside/inside diameter) is neces-
sary.

7 Operation

1) After applying the 12 V supply voltage the camera
is ready for operation.
2) Adjust the distance at the lens. If lenses with
manually adjustable iris are used, adjust them to
an optimum picture reproduction (focus sharp-
ness, brightness, minimum picture noise).
3) If the picture is not clear with correctly adjusted
distance, the mechanical focus setting for the lens
must be corrected. Loosen the setscrews (2). By
turning the complete lens [if necessary, including
the adapter ring (3)] adjust a clear picture. Then
tighten the screws again.
4) Switch on the automatic electronic shutter with
switch SHUTTER (6) – position ON. If a lens with
video signal controlled iris (auto iris) is used or in
