When you have finished:
1.
Lift the motor unit off the bowl.
2.
Put a finger on top of the blade unit, to stop it falling out then tip the processed contents
out of the bowl. Alternatively, lift the blade unit straight up and out of the bowl.
3.
Fit the storage lid to the bowl.

HINTS AND TIPS

Start with 2 or 3 half-second bursts before operating for longer times (maximum 30
seconds).
During use, you can use the storage lid as an anti-slip base by fitting it to the bottom of the
bowl (Fig B).
Generally, large quantities, thick mixes, and a high ratio of solids to liquids requires longer
processing times at low speed.
Smaller quantities, thinner mixes and more liquids than solids requires shorter processing
at high speed.
CRUSHED ICE
1.
For best results, fill the bowl to the V mark with ice cubes.
2.
Press the •• button for a few seconds then release it.
3.
Check the results, and repeat as necessary.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug before dismantling or cleaning.
1.
Lift the motor unit off the bowl.
2.
Use the tab to pull the splash guard off the motor unit.
3.
Lift the blade unit out of the bowl.
4.
Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.
5.
Hand wash the bowl, lid, blade unit, and splash guard.
6.
Clean the inside of the blade unit with a toothpick.
¬ You may wash these parts in the top rack of a dishwasher.
If you use a dishwasher, the harsh environment inside the dishwasher will affect the surface
finishes. The damage should be cosmetic only, and should not affect the operation of the
appliance.

municipal waste, but recovered, reused, or recycled.
LEEK AND POTATO SOUP
75g leeks
75g potatoes
1 stock cube
400ml water
salt and pepper
Process the leeks and potatoes for 2 seconds. Transfer to a large pan. Add the water and stock
cubes. Bring to the boil, stirring. Reduce the heat. Cover the pan. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove
from the heat. Cool for 30 minutes. Process till smooth. Bring to serving temperature (don't let it
boil). Adjust the seasoning. Serve with bread.
