PREPARATION In use, treat the jug and blade unit as a single unit. Sit the motor unit on a stable, level surface. Check that the speed control is set to O. Lower the jug on to the motor unit. Remove the lid. Put the ingredients into the jug.

BLADE UNIT You may wish to remove the blade unit for cleaning. Remove the lid. Sit the jug upside down. Unscrew the blade unit and lift it off. Handle only the plastic – don’t touch the metal parts. Lift the seal away from the blade unit. Wash the seal and blade unit in warm soapy water, rinse, and air dry.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this twice to remove any manufacturing dust, etc. FILLING Open the lid. Fill with at least 1 cup of water, but not above max. If you want only 1, 2, or 3 cups of water, fill to the 1, 2, or 3 marks inside the kettle.
