• Use the anchor plate specific to the chimney model used and fix on top of the unit with 4 metal screws. • When a 7” chimney is installed on the “0” clearance Vision XL it is necessary to use the stainless steel chimney adaptor plate supplied with the unit. -

INSTALLATION OF HOT AIR OUTLET (See drawing) • Use extensible and flexible insulated pipe supplied with your unit. • Stretch extensible pipe to its maximum length, 10 feet. Bend to form a 90 elbow and cut at desired length. • Insert pipe into its insulation covering. •... - Page 9 When doors are opened or removed, it works like a standard fireplace. However, more heat is saved from the double wall construction of the Vision XL. This mode of operation requires completely open air intake controls, if you have installed the outside air inlet. Doing so, you will allow outside air in the combustion chamber, reducing the risk if negative pressure.
- Page 10 Only wood with a moisture content below 20% can be used as fuel. The Vision XL is not designed for fire-dogs or other accessories to support or contain fuel. When first using your fireplace, do not over heat to avoid thermal shock that could damage paint and refractory stones.

CREOSOTE; Formation and need for removal When wood is burning slowly, it produces tar and other organic vapors, which combined with expelled moisture generates creosote. The creosote vapors condense in the relatively cool chimney flue of a slow-burning fire. As a result, creosote residue accumulates on the flue lining. When ignited, creosote makes an extremely hot fire. -

Do not clean gold doors with materials which may scratch or otherwise damage them. Do not use abrasive cleaners, nor chrome or silver cleaners because they can be corrosive.
