9 Troubleshooting

9.1 Identifying and repairing faults

The following table provides information on malfunctions and their possible causes. If you cannot correct the malfunction using the
remedies named, please contact your dealer directly.
Fault
No motor noise audible/lift does not move.
The lift can be raised but not lowered.
The lift stops while being raised.
The bath lift is not adhering securely to the
bathtub.
Battery is not charging and the red indicator
light flashes during charging

Possible cause
Jack socket of the hand control
is not locked correctly.
Battery is flat.
Contacts are dirty.
Cable is crushed/damaged.
Low-voltage protection is
activated.
Excessive load.
Suction cups are old or
damaged.
Faulty electronics.
Faulty battery.
Faulty charger.
Battery is too hot.
Remedy
Lock the jack socket,

Recharge the battery completely,
® 4.4 Charging the battery, page 12.
Clean the contacts, ® contact your dealer, if necessary.
Replace the hand control, ® contact your dealer, if necessary.
Recharge the battery completely,

Observe maximum load,
® 10.1 Dimensions and weight, page 21.
Replace the suction cups, ® contact your dealer, if necessary.
Have your authorized dealer check the hand control.
Replace the hand control.
Have your authorized dealer check the charger.
Do not charge the hand control near heat sources, e.g. heating
elements, in direct sunlight. Charging continues automatically
once the temperature drops to within permissible limits.
