    Connect your LaCie storage device’s USB 3.1 port to your computer’s USB-C port or USB Type A port. You can also connect the cable to a Thunderbolt 3 port on your computer. However, do not use the Thunderbolt 3 ports on the LaCie storage until you have completed all the steps.
