- Do not pull the power cable or the appliance to unplug the
appliance from the mains.
- Ensure that the plug is disconnected from the mains and
that the appliance is completely cold before carrying out any
cleaning or maintenance operations.

f) pilot light indicating that the appliance is warming up
**WARNING. The switch ON button is not an OFF button; it
cannot be used to switch the appliance OFF.
NOTE. After completing the sterilising cycle (and the water tank
is empty), the appliance will switch off automatically.
If you wish to repeat the sterilising cycle, disconnect the plug
from the power socket, wait for the appliance to cool down
completely to prevent burns; pour in the amount of water rec-
ommended in the procedure illustrated in the HOW TO USE
THE CHICCO STERILISER section.
If the indicator pilot light is OFF, press the ON button to start
the sterilising cycle.
NOTE. If the indicator pilot light does not come ON when you
press the ON button, disconnect the plug from the power sock-
et and wait for the appliance to cool down completely.
Now switch on the appliance as illustrated above.

HOW TO OPERATE THE APPLIANCE

Press the ON button I (e) the appliance will start the warming
cycle (roughly 10 min.) at the end of which the appliance will
automatically switch off.
Total cycle time : around 15 min. (10 min. warming cycle + 5
min. disinfection cycle)
NOTE. If more water than the recommended amount is poured
into the tank, the cycle operating times may last much longer.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
FIRST TIME USE OF THE APPLIANCE
WARNING: BEFORE YOU USE THE APPLIANCE FOR
THE FIRST TIME, ALWAYS PERFORM AN EMPTY
STERILISING CYCLE WITH NO FEEDING BOTTLES OR OTH­
ER ACCESSORIES INSIDE.
1) Always place the appliance out of reach of children, on a flat,
stable surfaces that is not sensitive to heat and/or humidity,
close to a mains socket that is easily accessible (diag. 1).
2) Remove the transparent lid (diag. 2)
3) Remove the lower rack, the central separator and the upper
rack (diag. 3)
4) Add 90ml of water to the tank (diag. 4) (if distilled water is
used this can considerably reduce the formation of scale residue
on the heating plate)
5) Replace the lower rack, the central separator and the upper
rack (diag. 5)
6) Insert the lid making sure it is fitted correctly (diag. 6)
7) Insert the power cable plug into the socket located at the rear
of the steriliser (diag. 7), ensuring it is fully inserted.
8) Plug the power cable into the mains socket and then turn the
appliance on by pressing the ON button (I) (e); when the pilot
light (f) comes on, the appliance is heating up the water.
WARNING: the first time you use the device, the ON
button may already have been pressed so, when you
plug the cable into the power socket, the warming up cycle
may commence automatically, meaning you do not need
to press the button yourself. When the warming up cycle is
complete, allow the appliance to cool down completely, then
rinse the tank, lid and racks thoroughly and dry them care­
fully. The steriliser is now ready to be used.
HOW TO USE THE CHICCO STERILISER
NOTE: The disinfection cycle time can vary according to the
number of feeding bottles, accessories and the amount of wa-
ter in the tank.
9) Repeat the operations indicated above from section 1) to sec-
tion 4)
10) Replace the lower rack and, where necessary, the central
separator
11) Insert the disassembled feeding bottles with their necks fac-
ing the bottom of the rack.
WARNING! Always clean and rinse the feeding bottles and
accessories thoroughly before placing them in the steriliser.
12) The accessories can be placed on the top rack (b1) (diag. 8),
insert the top rack.
13) Insert the lid making sure it is fitted correctly
Warning: Check that the accessories placed on the upper rack
(b1) do not prevent the lid from closing properly (diag. 9).
14) Insert the power cable plug into the socket located at the
rear of the steriliser (diag. 7), ensuring it is fully inserted.
15) Connect the power cable plug to the mains socket
16) Turn the appliance on by pressing the ON button (I) (e);
when the light (f) comes on, the appliance is heating up the
water
17) After completing the sterilising cycle, the appliance will
switch off automatically.
WARNING
Never remove the lid of the appliance during the operating
cycle.
NOTE: If it is necessary to switch off the appliance during
use, disconnect the power cable plug from the mains socket.
Warning! Never cover the appliance when it is operating or
when it is still hot
During the operating cycle, the hot steam coming out from
the hole located on the transparent lid could cause serious
burns. Always use the appliance with the utmost care and
attention.
